Flying Beauty

Great information! 1. Apply a serum and sunscreen before boarding your flight.  Airplane cabins have low humidity, so applying a serum that delivers enhanced hydration and protection is vital. This serum acts as a vehicle to deliver moisture deep within the layers of the skin while providing an occlusive seal to help it retain moisture. You want to apply a sunscreen over the serum to filter damaging UV rays. Because you are closer to the sun when flying (even though you may not be in direct sunlight), skin is still exposed to harmful rays. Use a moisturizer with SPF 15+ for added protection.  For serum I use AMC by Noevir.  For my sunscreen I use Raysela by Noevir.  One for face, one for body. 2. Don’t mist your skin with a hydrating spray during flight.  When the air is dry it looks for water wherever it can. So, when you spray your skin with a mist on a plane, the air literally robs skin of the applied moisture. Basically, misting mid-flight really doesn't do much at all.

Cancer Fighting Mushroom: Agaricus Blazei Murril In 1965, Professor Synden at Pennsylvania State University and Dr. Lambert of the Lambert Research Laboratory discovered the ingredients of   agaricus   blazei murril mushrooms. In Japan, the anti-tumor properties of the   agaricus   blazei mushrooms were presented by the Japanese Cancer Association in 1980. Thereafter, the Japanese Cancer Association, Japan Society for Agricultural Chemistry, the Japanese Pharmacological Society, the Food Science Engineering Society of Japan, and representatives of various other fields highlighted the role of   agaricus   mushrooms in helping to prevent the increase, spread and recurrence of cancer cells. What resulted was the confirmation by researchers at such institutions as the University of Tokyo Medical Department, the National Cancer Research Center, and the Tokyo College of Pharmacy, of the anti-cancer effectiveness of   agaricus   blazei murril mushrooms having four times that of Reishi, a

Pore Obession

Beauty is associated with perfect skin and pores are a huge part of that equation. When pores are tighter, light reflects better. You get an overall appearance of vitality, youthfulness, and health! Genetics determine pore size, as do skin type and age. If your skin is oily, and that oil gets trapped inside the pores it oxidizes and turns dark. And age factors into the equation because over time, especially if you've had a lot of sun exposure in the past, you start to lose the collagen and elastin that support the pores. They begin to stretch and sag around the edges, which can make them look bigger. While we can't shrink our pores with any permanency, using Noevir skin products and masks can help keep the skin clear and tight, making the pores less noticeable. What exactly is a pore? It's a pouching of skin into which the oil gland excretes or pumps oil to keep the skin from drying out. It also helps in the regulation of the body's temperature. Can pores ope

Winter Skincare Tips

Winter is here! The snow and sub-zero temperatures will be around.  We may not be looking forward to the cold, but we still want to be prepared for it, so here are some simple skin care rules for staying gorgeous when winter comes.  Don't skip the sunscreen Just because the sun isn't shining as brightly as it was in July doesn't mean you can put your sunscreen away until next summer. It may not be bathing suit weather (more like multiple layers weather), but protecting your skin from the sun's rays is still a complexion must. Look for a broad spectrum sunscreen (one that offers both UVA and UVB protection) with an SPF of at least 15. Find a face-specific product and apply before your day cream (let dry first) and then follow with the remaining steps of your beauty routine. Stay hydrated Sipping on a cool beverage may not be your first choice during the winter months, but it's just as important to stay hydrated now as it was during the hot, hazy day
