I have seen too many people out there advertising to make young girls "made up" and I personally feel we should be teaching them how to take care of their skin, starting at a young age. This will help with many things as they grow older. I started using a good skincare regimen at a young age. I believe this, along with using Noevir for 23 years, has attributed to my good skin. Very few lines, etc. Plus, I have not once considered Botox, fillers or surgery.
If I had a daughter, she would most definitely be taught skincare first....Make up second. The less make up the better. (It's also important to teach the boys...)
Learning proper skin care health is important for girls, teens and young adults. The skin care techniques you use today will show on your face in years to come. Parents should take the time to teach skin care tips to their young girls and boys. Teens will feel healthier and look better if they use these top five skin care tips for teens.
Daily Routine:Skin care has to become a routine for the teenager. The daily routine for boys and girls is to cleaning your face twice a day and moisturizing at least once. The best method for doing this is to wash your face when you first wake up and then once at night before bed. Teenage skin is constantly shedding old skin cells and producing oil. It is important to wash it thoroughly. Daily skin care will pay off for years to come.
Moisturization:
Teenage skin is naturally oily so there will be a temptation not to moisturize. However, when you wash your face it dries. Teen skin will throw its self into oil producing mode to makeup moisture. Trick your skin by adding an oil-free moisturizer to the face after cleanser.
No Sharing:
While it is tempting to share your favorite lip gloss with a friend, do not share. Many skin infections and diseases are transmitted through sharing eyeliners, lipsticks and makeup. Share the brand name and the color, but do not share items from your makeup list. It only takes a few seconds to get Pink Eye.
Exfoliation:
Exfoliate your face with a scrub cleanser once a week. As a teen, you may feel tiny bumps or see blackheads on your face. This is a result of young skin growing and producing oil. Never exfoliate before a prom, date, or major social event. Exfoliation sometimes pulls dirt and oil up from under the skin. This might result in a few extra bumps as your skin tries to evacuate it's pores.
Your Own Look:
Buy samples before you buy full-sized products if possible. Ask makeup artists for sample products or to try a few colors on your face before you buy. Get your own look. You may like your friend's look, but it may not be right for you. The key to teenage beauty is to accentuate your own beauty not try to emulate someone else.
