✈✈✈✈Flying is stress on the skin (dry cabin air) and can leave it looking tired, dehydrated and a little worse when you reach your destination. I have some tips to help you stay looking groomed and glamorous during both long and short haul flights - from a flight attendant, no less!
Dry skin will become drier, but oily skin gets even oilier during flying. When the skin has no water it attempts to compensate for the dehydration by producing more oil. For dry skin that has no oil glands, the skin will be depleted of moisture. Airplanes can cause problems on the skin.

Get your skin flight-ready!
- Start using (if you haven't already) one of the Noevir Skincare Lines. All the skincare lines are NATURAL TO THE SKIN. Using one of these lines will get your skin in the best shape it has ever been.......Noevir skincare begins with five natural bases that combine to closely replicate the naturally occurring moisture in your skin. No mineral oil, artificial emulsifiers or artificial colorants are added. The result is a professional, spa-quality product that is exceptionally safe and never animal-tested. Through careful analysis of human skin, Noevir scientists determined that naturally occurring moisture is composed of 64% fatty acids, 14% wax, 12% squalene and 10% other substances. Further research revealed five naturally occurring ingredients that closely mimic this natural moisturizer: Stearic acid and HS lipids derived from soybeans, beeswax, jojoba oil and squalane extracted from olives. Our natural bases are ultra-refined and combined with other advanced ingredients, botanicals and natural emulsifiers (such as fatty and amino acids) for superior purity and stability.
- Apply a serum from the serum experts at Noevir under sunscreen.
- Always wear sunscreen.
Caring for your skin while on the plane
- Do NOT mist your skin with a hydrating spray. For years, skin care experts have suggested to mist your skin with a hydrating spray to keep it moist. This is a no-no. The worst thing you can do is spray the skin. Because the air is so dry, it looks for water whenever it can get it...and water attracts water...When you spray the skin it takes all the water from the deep layers in the skin and gets evaporated into the dry air...The result is drier skin. (NOTE: when your skin is in good shape from using the Noevir natural-to-skin products you wouldn't even consider misting it!)
- Drink plenty of water.
- Stretch to help with blood circulation.
- Carry oil blotting sheets.
- Hand cream...preferably non-scented. My favorite is from Noevir. A little goes a long way and it's very hydrating.
Post-Flight Skincare Routine
- I use the 99+ Line (trial packs are great for travel if you don't want to carry the full size.) I clean my face with the Deep Cleansing Massage Gel Oil. Then I reapply it and do a quick facial massage. ***See video below*** for the Noevir Massage.
- I use the Cleansing foam next or I will use the Quick Recovery Mask in it's place if I need to exfoliate
- Balancing Lotion.
- Moisturize
- BioSign Night Smoothy. (For best result, use BioSign Inner treatment, followed by your balancing lotion, moisturizer and skin cream; then use BioSign Night Smoothy to intensify the benefits of all other special treatments and skincare steps while enhancing your skin’s own natural revitalizing process overnight. ) You need a great night cream to further hydrate the skin. BioSign Night Smoothy is a GREAT night cream/mask.
- A good eye serum. I use BioSign Eye Serum
Six steps may sound like a lot to some.....It's really not and so well worth it. It doesn't take long to go through the routine. Double cleansing is the key to healthy, beautiful skin.....The Japanese way!
